  2. Apparently it's the Unabomber.

The Lisp Reddit comments have some more explanations.

The PHP kid seems to have Trisomy 23. I think that's pretty offensive.

  7. The other (original?)thing, "How Programming Language Fanboys See Each Others’ Languages" was funnier IMHO: http://i.imgur.com/pG3q7.jpg.

Whoever created this doesn't know the difference between a framework and a language.

  12. Well, I thought his response to that was pretty funny:

Okay. Asp.net isn't a programming language. Whatever. Why would a Lisp programmer know that? :)

That is mean to compare a retarded kid to php. Retarded kids are still loveable

I like Java, I love C++, I am mystified by LISP, I had my phase with Perl.

Used to love PHP. I was sick and can openly admit that now.

Down-syndrome PHP would also explain the Wordpress source code where everything is a global variable.

I'm offended by the whole discussion about comparison with kids that have downs syndrome, if you can't make jokes about it, there is something wrong with how you deal with it.. I've worked with kids that have Down's syndrome and have a a family member with it aswell.. yet i think it is funny and i'm not offended by the picture, i think it's rather cute. Yes i do know php, in fact i'm unfortunatly one of those that have to code php for money, it sucks, and i do think php is a bit retarded. I am however offended by people that are not able to cope with jokes about people with downs syndrome, if you consider them equal then you must be able to joke about them just as you would with anyone else. I'm furthermore abbhorred with the fact that the same pointless message was reposted. (and yes Trisomie 21 is an alternative name for it, but it not as well used in the english lagnuage)

It's not the fact that they used a kid with Down's Syndrome. It's the point they're making with him (PHP is retarded and stupid). Can you not see that this is very offensive? I can.
